Mental Health Act Administrator
Having graduated with an Economics degree, my working experience began in banking, then diversifying into the motor industry and higher education before my first venture into social care with social services. By this time I had gained a Post Grad Diploma in Business Computing putting it to good use in social services and other local government departments. The desire for a career break led me to qualify as a teacher and I spent six years abroad (quite a lengthy career break!) teaching English before returning to the UK and my first post in healthcare as a Mental Health Act Co-ordinator. As that Trust moved into digital records, I became lead trainer for the project, and then went on to become a freelancer in IT training & systems implementation for many years. I have returned to the Mental Health Act for Maple House, ensuring that the requirements of the Act are met, thus protecting the vulnerable patients in our care. I also provide training in the legislation covering the care of service users across the Krinvest Group. My role being part time, I relish the extra time for family life and to indulge my interests of watching live sport and classical music.
